Without spoiling, the latest episode requires the use of a ruling to allow monsters who can only be hit by magical weapons to face off against other monsters. I used the rule from AD&D that says in the case of monsters, sufficient Hit Dice enable them to attack immune creatures as if they were fighting with magical weapons.
Table 48 lists various numbers of Hit Dice and their magical weapon equivalents.
Is this from OSE? Looks like it's on the bottom of p. 75 of ADnD DM's guide. (Thank you for giving me an excuse to browse a few surrounding pages instead of doing work.) 😉
