ReplyDeleteFinally finished both seasons ending right as you posted the last episode, and they were an absolute blast to binge while working! This podcast has re-invigorated my imagination in both solo rp and my main game! I cant thank you enough for these wonderful stories and characters.
ReplyDeleteMy only gripe (which isn't really a gripe) is that I wish some of the season 2 folks had a short epilogue like at the end of season 1.

Thanks very much, StellarCosmos! The S2 finale turned out to be quite divisive, with some folks unsure of what happened at the end. I did consider such an epilogue, but opted for the 'horror movie' finish as I thought some impact might be lost if I carried it through to what I think is an inevitable conclusion (after the curtain fall, things can really only end one way...)

ReplyDeleteI finished S2 a few days ago. When it started, I was very guarded. Season 1's story and finale left such an impression on me, I was certain that there was no way S2's story and characters could live up to the hype. For sure the story did and the characters for the most part too. I think you did a phenomenal job with the shift in setting and focus from S1 to S2. All elements that you went after, you did well.
The unbelievable near TPK of S1's finale was unfortunately unmatched by S2's ending, which while satisfying, left me feeling sad for Bazu. You built his character so amazingly, I was hoping he'd be Gyrios (Girios?) 2.0. But hey, those are the dice.
I also understand the cliffhanger ending, but I would have preferred an epilogue for these characters and the world. In my head, they rest and use Catsbane's darkvision to make it out safely.
Anyway, thanks again for this amazing season, and I look forward to starting S3. I feel blessed that I discovered TOTM so late in the same so I don't have to wait a week for a new installment, but I'll catch up soon enough! Your work is so inspiring and enjoyable, and it's wonderful that you enjoy it as well. Cheers!
